The search is on...

On the 13th of October this year, the inspirational Miss Vicky Lee and her beloved friends will convene once again their assiduous powerhouse event at The WayOut Club. For the past 26 years, this annual catwalk contest has been held in London, United Kingdom. It was intentionally conceptualised, created and organised to uplift the intelligence, beauty and creativity of Transgender people (particularly the Transgender women). Moreover, this milestone event also brings forward a greater awareness and acknowledgement of Transgender people to the wider LGBTQIA+ community. Fundamentally speaking, this uptown catwalk contest and this award winning oldest Transgender Night Club (The WayOut Club) have been unconditionally sustained by Miss Vicky Lee for decades.

THE REVISITED: THE ANCIENT EXQUISITENESS OF KINGLEY VALE IN SOUTHERN ENGLAND

It was on a delightfully mild day when they drove down the labyrinth roads heading to a National Nature Reserve in Chichester, Kingley Vale. This English Nature Reserve was amongst the first established National Nature Reserves in 1952. For the past years, it has been the enclave for the most important archaeological sites in Southern England and the habitat of 14 ancient monuments including the Devil's Humps Barrows. Moreover, it is also recognised for its lowland grassland sheeted in porous chalk and more importantly, the realm ground for its aged apparitional twisted Yew trees which are estimated to be 500 years old or as much as 1000 years of age.

They carefully traversed the roads with the assistance of her handy offline navigation app and more so when they arrived around the vicinity of Chichester. Consequently, after more than 2 hours of expedition by car they reached the free car park of the sedating location for the Kingley Vale. She was enthralled and then whispered, “What a soothing way to spend the day away from the busy boom town and to see once again the yielded changes after 4 years!”. On the other hand, Kingley Vale's whereabouts is linked to a set of convoluted directions. The puzzling roads heading to its exact location will surely try out your patience and ascertain your diligence, specifically if you are travelling from London.

The sun was still brightly shining and its crepuscular rays were balmy caressing their moisturised skin. It illuminated the footpaths on the nether side of the trees while the leafy branches acted as a canopy...

The sky was empowered by its peppy gradient shades of blue and the occasional shadows of cottony clouds provided them with some protection. They walked at a slow pace while also being engaged with tête-à-tête of birds and the green milieu…

The entire surroundings had a sprightly ambience because of its verdant vegetation. It was also omnipresently counterbalanced by unmoved sturdy trees as well as the thriving wild flowers. She was in wonderment at how Mother Nature harmoniously arranged her own environment despite the difference in breeds, in build and in the various heights...

They entered the outset gate and walked onto a footpath in the middle part of the vast land. The immediate area on the right side was a private farmland enveloped in rapeseed flowers. While on the left side were the developing green plants; spontaneous colourful blooms and the imposing mature trees. After 15-minute of leisure strode, they arrived at the main ingress of the Kingly Vale.

The main wooden gate led into the abyss bounded by different varieties of wild plants and flowers; a nesting habitat for exotic birds; a safeguarded ground for insects and a forest for the remarkably long-established Yew trees. In her own personal opinion, it was akin to ancient forests but with a Greek-like stadium fortified by a slope wall of mountains and ameliorated by tall trees and resilient plants. They stopped for while in this open-to-all-elements “stadium” before they decided to attempt the shortcut uphill trail. It was a time saving alternative but not a prudent course of action as the way to the plateau at the top of Bow Hill was ominously very steep. When they both reached the surface of Bow Hill they were running out of breath, fainting heavily and the rates of their heartbeats were palpating. Lub-dub... lub-dub... lub-dub...

They unrolled the wool blanket throw onto the recumbent ground of grasses and then, admired the stunningly unsullied landscape of the Kingley Vale at the top of Bow Hill. Once they had recomposed themselves by devouring the contents of their scrumptious lunch boxes, they advanced their way to the wooden kissing gate. Alas, they were stepping on the exact location of 2- 12 feet tall Bell Barrows on Southwestern which were known as the Devil's Humps Barrows. They are Bronze Age Kings' Graves, out of the four mounds, which have been acclaimed as Scheduled Archaeological Monuments with the most impressive round barrows.

When they ultimately reached the top ring surface of one of the barrows, they were presented with breathtaking panoramic views like Chichester Harbour and the tapestry of rich farmland. She then softly whispered to herself while standing on the round surface of one of the Devil's Humps Barrows at Kingley Vale, “It feels like I am on Top of the World!”

After absorbing the picturesque landscape and vista from up above, they walked back to the car park down a moderately declining footpath. They then ventured on a 25-minute drive to small seaside town on the South coast of England called Bognor Regis. Historically, this coastal resort was well-visited by the Royal Families during the Victorian period. Why? Its because when King George V suffered from lung problems and septicaemia circa 1929, the sea air nourished his recuperating condition and boosted his stamina.

The  Last Year's Candidates in their Fantasy Creative Wear

In today's society, the lifestyles and ways of living of the LGBTQI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, and Intersex) community have been changed progressively. It is no longer a criminal offense to reveal your true identity, to express affection to someone and more importantly, to show the unconditional love to our partners in public. Chronologically, the challenging dogma for conformity and the 'right and appropriate' behaviour in 1960's for gay men were questioned and contested wilfully by the First Gay Rights Liberation Front. Consequently in the late 1970's, the worrying and forbidden gay people who had enough of conforming to the society's social standards were all set expressively free in their true sexual identities.

Generally speaking, the freedom of expression in a form of newspapers created by the intellectual and educated gays in the U.K paved the way for the abolition of indefinite “preventive detention” sentences. These indefinite sentences were very alarming punishments for those considered homosexual and/or have had 'dangerous' sexual engagements. That is why, they had clandestine places to meet up that only allowed exclusive members to have access to for security reasons. Nowadays, establishments of all kinds are open for the price of a ticket. These businesses, intended for the LGBTQI+ community, are now legally recognise by the public sector and also operate as heterogeneous gathering places.

This month of October, The WayOut Club at THE MINORIES on 64–73 Minories, London, EC3N 1JL will hold anew its Alternative Miss London 2017 catwalk contest. It is the 25th year catwalk contest which continuously aims to celebrate and uplift the transgender intelligence, beauty and creativity. The inspirational mother and the woman behind this oldest Trans Club is Miss Vicky Lee, who since in 1993 has been been the greatest pillar in the acknowledgement of “Transpeople” and bringing greater awareness about Transgender people to the wider LGBTQI+ community. As a result of her perseverance over the years, Transgender people can nowadays meet people of similar sensibilities and have fun, too. Historically, way back in 1993 together with Vicky's friend (Steffan Whitfield) the Alternative Miss London catwalk contest was conceptualised, created, organised and has been sustained up to now. HAIL TO YOU, Miss Vicky Lee and to Steffan Whitfield!

On the 14th of October this year from 21:00 until the wee hours of the next morning, you will be mesmerised by the mystery contestants' visionary CREATIVE OUFIT; provocatively foxy SEXY OUTFIT and looking like a million GLAMOROUS OUTFIT on stage. The anticipating question is, who will become the furbelow humble runners-up and euphoric top dog successor of last years' Alternative Miss London, Miss Geri Love? If you would like to be transported back to last year's competition, just click the picture of Miss Geri Love!

The upcoming Alternative Miss London is a Saturday gala with no dress code and upfront admission prices vary according to time. You may visit (click), ALTERNATIVE MISS LONDON 2017, to see if you qualify for a discount fee before 23:00.

Geographically speaking, The WayOut Club at THE MINORIES on 64–73 Minories, London, EC3N 1JL is next to Tower Hill Tube Station and Gateway DLR (Docklands Light Railway). As an alternative, here is a guide map link for more information about tube stations, car parking etc.

If you have great admirations for the Transpeople and would like to join in the friendly crowd, be highly advised that The WayOut Club is NOT A SEX CLUB!

THE MAN WITH THE CHILD IN HIS EYES

I don't sing nor following/buying records of artists. But the video song below that I first heard on the radio when I was in the park touched my heart. It stayed in my mind like nursery rhymes that I memorised when I was a little girl. The song played like as if there wasno tomorrow.

Perhaps, you already heard and loved the song sang by Kate Bush entitled, The Man with the Child in His Eyes. It is the fifth track on her début album, The Kick Inside, and was released as her second single in 1978.

Kate Bush is an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. Her eclectic musical style and idiosyncratic vocal style have made her one of the United Kingdom's most successful solo female performers of the past 30 years.

THE WAYOUT CLUB AT CROSSWALL

by: MisS VictoriA DaviD

I arrived in the afternoon at Victoria Station and was hugged by my dear friends who were patiently waiting. We soon set of with excitement and visited a few touristy places then, our day began!

The sun was no longer shining but the temperature that night was still quite warm. So we were delighted to stroll around the streets. That is why, we stayed outside and savoured the Caribbean- like climate that most of us here have been yearning for in this cold country. We kept walking and walking, and honestly we really had no fixed plans where to spend the rest of the night. In the end, we all enjoyed our roaming and even felt a bit euphoric at the very freedom we had. It was already nightfall when we finished wandering around Central London but our energy levels were still up and high, and certainly we were still very vigorous. As if we were injected with a dosage of Epinephrine. Just a joke!

Even though we used too much energy, from late afternoon 'till nightfall, we were very surprised at not feeling exhausted and burnt- out after all the travels we made. That is why, I suggested travelling to Tower Hill Station and hunt for the famous WayOut Club. Honestly speaking, though I suggested the club itself, I didn’t really know where it was located and only remembered a few landmarks on the way to its exact location. Which was very helpful, indeed!

We arrived at the Tower Hill Station and I thought locating The WayOut Club would be very difficult and I had made a terrible mistake suggesting it. But it certainly wasn’t! Though the exact location of the club on the google map was a bit wiggly woggly in reality, tracking it down was uncomplicated and very easy.

When we were at the Tower Hill Station, I asked myself which way to go? Instead of trying to remember the way, I just obeyed my instinct. And that was to follow the well-groomed gents and attractive ladies who all turned right when we came out of the station. My intuition was right! Its because on the second right turn, its Crosswall alley and The WayOut Club façade was flashing with bright lights. Actually, it was like calling and charming our attention from afar when we saw the club.

We located the club but I was still feeling reluctant to enter or even to approach the building. Months before, I had spoken to a regular customer and was told that The WayOut Club was visited mostly by spiteful and unpleasant people. And honestly, her perception about the club was absolutely wrong and a very arrogant opinion.

We walked toward the entrance where we were greeted by a muscular security guy as well as a friendly and warm woman receptionist. After paying the entrance fee, a wooden staircase guided us down to the main venue. But before that, a coupon for my own complimentary choice of drink was handed over by the receptionist. She said it was exclusively for women.

We all went downstairs and were greeted by cheerful lights from the doorway leading to the main venue. The colourful lights were creating reflections and even seducing our eyes. We entered the room and the dance floor was located at the centre where it was enlivened by exquisitely beautiful and sexy women. They looked so hot in their fancy outfits and high heeled stilettos too.

Soon I was starting to enjoy the ambiance as well as the people of The WayOut Club. I suddenly felt regretful for not making our visit to this alluring night club a planned one. And also for not wearing more appropriate attire or a body hugging party dress too. All in all, I really had a good time, especially before the the club became packed with people. Just sitting on their pod bar stool while watching people come and go-out of the main dance floor was a satisfying scene for me.

We ordered our drinks and freshened-up in the toilet for a moment and after that, we sat to one of the corners...

While waiting for more people to arrive, I saw familiar faces and even met and chatted in the flesh an adorable facebook friend. Her named was Abby Tolentino who had come straight to The WayOut Club after her shift as a nurse in the busy metropolis. It was very warming to have talked to her and it's true what Miss Laura Loon said to me about her. She certainly had a great and endearing personality which I felt when we were chatting, like ordinary friends. Her endearing attitude showed even more when she introduced me to a few of her lovely friends.

The place was soon heaving with people and getting more intense and boisterous. As a matter of fact, most customers were just happily standing while enjoying a glass of drink in their hand. Actually, some were scrutinising whose who in the crowd. What I mean is, its a night club and most people who were there would love to meet a voluptuous woman or a handsome bloke to know or more. I even saw a few virile and yummy guys who enticed my finicky attention. But honestly, I didn’t give an inkling that I found them very desirable. Its because I was with friends when we went there, so behaving goodly and divine were in me that night.

The sensational and extreme part of our visit to The WayOut Club wasn’t starting yet. But we decided already to leave the place as we were getting exhausted. And also, we'd been touring around Central London since afternoon. So its inevitable for our energy levels to be quickly diminished!

Before we left the place, I had an opportunity to have a quick chat with Miss Vicky Lee. She's the woman who manages the entire club and at that time, was wandering around to make sure that everybody was very happy and contented with the entire show. Aside from amiable Miss Vicky Lee, I also noticed that most of the staff were light-spirited, attentive and polite to the customers present that night.

It was my first visit to the famous WayOut Club and one of many good things about it was that. The management don’t restrict what kind of clothes you will be wearing, as long as you are presentable and decent. This makes The WayOut Club comfortable and is almost a home from home for Transgender people and their admirers.
