I need to torture myself!
This
is my huffy statement every time a mouth ulcer develops inside my
mouth. This is an unpleasant sore that needs to be hidden when talking
to someone as it forms like a puss (layers of fibrin). And, it is very
painful when treated using pulverized alum or granules of sodium
chloride (salt).
Mouth
ulcer is also known as aphthous ulcer, it is usually round and oval in
shaped that form in the mouth. It has three main types, the Minor Ulcer;
the Major Ulcer and the Herpetiform Ulcer.
The
most common type that occurs in our mouth is the Minor Ulcer. The
natural healing period if it is treated with medication is 10-14 days.
The used of alum or salt is a primary approach to dealing with mouth ulcer. And a small amount of vinegar
applied to the developing ulcer can relieve pain for a short time. It
is said that adequate oral hygiene may help in relieving symptoms.
